Mar Vista Cottages

We stayed here in this cozy cottage and had great little meals by candlelight in front of the little stove and took walks to the beach, played chess on the deck overlooking the sea, the garden, the goat.

We were married on a bluff in Gualala Point Park and had a fabulous meal afterwards at Pangaea in Point Arena.

It was exactly what I dreamed of and more.

I woke up this morning as a married man!

And to tell the truth, it’s not that different than yesterday! I’m sure this cottage helped a lot, it’s the perfect place Lisa and I wanted to go to to get married. We’re already planning on coming back soon. The view, the beach, the serenity, my wife. How can a man dream of something better? Whoever you are, may peace be with you.

I had to write to let you know how much my boyfriend < excuse me, that would be my "fiance" now! > and I enjoyed our time at Mar Vista the weekend of February 6th. I knew when my friend shared your website with me that I had found something special but you managed to surpass any and all of our expectations. Your hospitality was amazing. You made us feel so incredibly welcome and comfortable. I especially want to thank-you for going out of your way and helping my boyfriend make everything so special. The rose petals leading to the bed, chocolates under the pillows, and beautiful lavender wreath above the bed was almost as much of a surprise to me as was the proposal I received on Schooner Beach that Saturday night! We have decided that Mar Vista is simply the perfect place to come back and finish what we started so you'll be hearing from us about a small wedding sometime in the near future (possible Fall of this year or Spring of next year). All I have ever wanted is a beautiful, comfortable setting where I can stand in my bare feet with my toes firmly planted in Mother Earth while a hand-full of the people closest to us bear witness to our exchanging of vows. I don't want anything complicating or taking away from our most special moment. After that, I want DAYS and DAYS to let it all sink in and share lazy moments and quiet sunsets with the man of my dreams! Mar Vista certainly seems like the perfect place to provide all of this and more. In fact, we haven't stopped talking about it sense we left and we cannot wait to get back there!
