Dear Renata and Tom
I've just realised that it's about a month since Charlene and I were at Mar Vista. I've just had a look on the website to remind myself of the views and the scenery, as if they weren't locked in my memory already. I just wanted to say 'Thank you' for creating such a magical place and atmosphere. Quite apart from the myriad board games that we got through - Yahtzee was a great find - we had the most wonderful time watching the birds, listening to the sea and tasting the fresh veg from the garden. It was the first time in months I've been able to sit and write by the hour. Best of all, we didn't feel the need to go very far. Everything we could have wanted was right there in front of us - the green grass, the blue sky, the hush of the sea and each other
The two of you were also wonderful hosts: welcoming, considerate and jolly good company.
I do hope we can come back some day. It's a long way from London - but that's partly why I love it!
